Each spring is cold wound and then heat treated to increase hardness and reduce internal stresses present after winding. Looks very good quality to me.

Everything looks good quality to me. I find it odd that the people leaving bad reviews with pictures of broken and melted impeller, when you can clearly see the brass on the inside is brown and dirty like old pennies and mine is shiny new. It's almost like the took the pictures of the ones they replaced to get a refund and a free repair kit.
