Crimean War British Rifle Brigade in forage caps commandWhen the Crimean War broke out in 1853 the Rifle Brigade sent two battalions. They fought at the Battle of the Alma, where one of their number led the advance across the river. The regiment also saw action at the Battle of Inkerman, and during the Siege of Sevastopol Victoria Crosses were awarded to members of the regiment over the course of the Crimean campaign. Jarvis pocket companion

got it for nursing school at UT Tyler. Love it as it's a great little resource to haul around everywhere which has a significant amount of great information which is needed for my classes and clinicals. Highly recommend it but due note that the 8th edition contains the same information merely a few pages are numbered differently and that older edition was nearly $30 less in price. Just an FYI if looking to save a few bucks...
