It adopted various innovations such as RB engine (6 cyl., DOHC), ceramic turbo charger, and HICAS four wheel drive system, but was talked critically that significantly enlarged body, elimination of 2 door model from lineup, and luxury car line advocating driver friendly high performance didn't fit Skyline. The long awaited 2 door coupe was added in 1986.
