It features a green painted steel buckle and unmarked rivets, approximately dating its production from mid 1943 to mid 1944. There appears to be a supplier's marking in black ink on the leather's underside; however, it is illegible. This would be an ideal chinstrap for a high pressure helmet liner with either green painted steel or blackened brass A washers. Provenance
